In our imagination, the first thing that occurs about a Snowy Owl is its characteristic black-and-white plumage. After a glance through the eyes, a piercing yellow, we almost forget the deeper beauty beneath the surface that was the actual inspiration for me. This piece allows you to step into the world of the owl-around textures and view through the pattern of colors in ways we rarely imagine. I looked for elements of observation and creative endeavor through careful research and study. I combined here, together, all those attributes which people do not so often relate to this majestic bird, with subtle elements often overlooked-the elements that will define the essence of this bird.
